I have had the pleasure of hearing Jim Jordan speak twice to two different groups of folks who are looking for work. One was a large audience of 100+ people, the other a more personal group of a dozen folk. Jim is an articulate, stimulating, and very interesting speaker. Topics of interests are covered with humor, magic tricks and a positive can do attitude. Jim interacts well and elicits positive responses from the audience. Although he talked for almost an hour, a high level of interest and attention was maintained by his unique style. He is relaxed and genuinely likes people. I would recommend that anyone who gets an opportunity to hear Jim speak should clear out their calendar and not miss the chance!

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for being the keynote speaker at our Eastern Ontario Staff Development Network Ideas Conference in Kingston, which is based on the philosophy of teachers teaching teachers. Your “Plug the Tub” incredible magic show and powerful messaging on motivation were an excellent kick off to our conference for grade 7-10 teachers. Teaching is a very challenging profession and your emphasis on how teachers can de-motivate or positively impact the lives of so many was powerful and gave the attendees an opportunity to reflect on their own practices.
 
Every time I have an opportunity to see you present, I am more and more impressed with how you adapt your messaging to your varied audiences Your presentations are always professional, entertaining and truly magical. It was the perfect kick off to an excellent two days.

Classroom management is a term used by many teachers to describe the process of ensuring that classroom lessons run smoothly despite disruptive behaviour by students. This is one of the trickiest issues teachers face today. Classroom management requires a positive relationship between the teacher and the student.

Many teachers go through difficulties at school, not because they lack discipline but because they may be using disciplines which costs them the authority needed to create a safe and motivating classroom environment. Discipline is widely regarded by most educators and the public alike as the number one problem in schools. Classroom management is different because it has nothing to do with control and compliance and is more closely linked to issues of motivation and respect. It is key link to helping students to developing themselves and it is essential if you want the students to learn.
By using our Plug the tub Content I will demonstrate to your teachers that students who are demoralized cause disruptions and become willful by putting up that wall between teacher and student.
Let's get back to creating a motivating class environment so students want to learn and participate.
